Frequently Asked Questions

Browse frequently asked questions and answers about Restorative Justice Education and our online and in-person training offerings.

We work with every client through their step-by-step journey into a Culture of Care, whether an individual or a school district, and believe in starting our relationship on the right foot. Our FAQs are meant to inform and ensure transparency, yet don't hesitate to Contact Us with any further questions if you can't find what you're looking for here.
Q: Is the $1000 training cost per person?
A: Yes! The self-paced, blended online trainings are $1000 per person. Custom and in-person training costs vary. Contact Us to receive a custom proposal.

Q: Can we pay by purchase order?
A: Yes! We gladly take purchase orders. Please Contact Us to pay by purchase order.

Q: If someone taking the training leaves their position with our organization, can we transfer the training to another person?
A: We will do our best to accommodate as each situation is different. However, if the original registrant has begun the training then it is no longer transferable.

Q: How long do I have to complete my online training?
A: The time you have to complete the training with one of our facilitators is 12 months. We appreciate your continued attention to the work as it is most impactful when completed with intention.

Q: How long do I have access to training resources?
A: Although your online training with our facilitators needs to be completed within 12 months, you will always have access to our Culture of Care Resources and your training folder.

Q: What’s the difference between a research-based and an evidence-based training curriculum?
A: We created our research-based training curriculum on more than 10 years of peer reviewed and published research. Evidence-based curricula implement a curriculum and then evaluate its effectiveness internally, and utilize this evaluation process as evidence.

Q: Where can I find research on the effectiveness of Restorative Practices?
A: Please click HERE to see the research and story behind Restorative Justice Education’s “Culture of Care” philosophy.

A Culture of Care in Schools is characterized by non-dominating relationships, where adults and children feel a sense of belonging and connectedness, have a culturally safe place for their voices to be heard, and are able to be self-determining. – Dr. Tom Cavanagh
